Hickory’s Oktoberfest takes place on the second weekend of October (October 10-12, 2025) and celebrates the city’s proud German heritage, co-founded by German immigrant Adolphus “Dolph” Shuford. The three-day festival runs from Friday 5 PM-11 PM, Saturday 10 AM-11 PM, and Sunday noon-5 PM in downtown Hickory, North Carolina. Events include live music stages, Kidsfest activities, beer tents, and numerous food and craft vendors, honoring Hickory’s ongoing connection to Germany.

Asheville Oktoberfest is a mix of traditional German celebrations and the city’s famous craft beer culture. You will find German beer, music, food, and all beer festivals in town (Asheville’s famous local breweries) .
